Seahorses by Kinder and Year 1
Kinder and Year 1 have been learning about the sea. After reading Mr Seahorse by Eric Carle the children made their own special seahorses.
Picasso Cubism
The third artist we studied was Picasso and the Cubist period. After sketching a guitar outline the students created geometric shapes using a straight lines. Watercolours were used in similar tones to create the effect.

Monet Japanese Bridge
During Term1 students in Years 4-6 looked at 3 famous artists and their techniques and styles of painting. We chose 'Waterlilies The Japanese Bridge' by Monet to view and discuss. The students made the bridge with painter's tape then used a dabbing painting technique foe the water and plants. When the paint was dry they removed the tape.
