Spheres in Space
Last Term, 2013 the Year 2-4 class did a Science unit called "Day & Night." We created these spheres using coloured chalks adding shading for a 3D effect. The children splashed silver paint onto the black paper for their background then we put it all together to create this colourful mural.
"Starry Night"
While sorting through photos to put in folders I came across several art activities the Year 2-4 class completed last year. This was one of my favourites where the children used the technique of double loading their paint brush with two colours then using short brushstrokes to give the effect of stars and lights in the night sky. Van Gogh's "Starry Night" was our inspiration and full credit for this idea goes to Deep Space Sparkle website.
