Picasso Watercolours and Crayon Resist

 
Following in Picasso style students drew a combination of side and front perspective of the human face then filled in the large spaces with watercolour.
 
 




Henna Hands

After returning from a recent Mission trip to India, Mrs Curline taught a HSIE unit on the culture and geography of this interesting country. The students in years 2-6 viewed photos of henna designs and then created their own unique style.

Chinese Dragons

Reconciliation Celebration

Each class was asked to provide an art activity for the Reconciliation Assembly.
 The Year 2/4 class decided to create a class poster made from individual hands that were painted using traditional aboriginal dot painting.

Colourful Trees

A simple and effective activity for end of year and Christmas is this tree design using different sized circles and selecting contrasting and complimentary colours.

 
 

Christmas Trees

Using mixed media Year 2-4 created these colourful Christmas trees with tissue paper, glue and water colours. To add a bit of sparkle we used metallic textas to add detail to the trees. A hole punch and paper was used for the snow effect. This lesson was from www.pamsblogspot.com.au
